Aug. 11th, 2006 11:01 amI was almost heading out of town this weekend :(
But unfortunately no. There is a party and work on Monday and it would have conflicted. So NEXT weekend I head out of town, and then the one after that I leave on thursday for Stratford. We're seeing Don Quixote and Harlem Duet!
Work schedule goes monday, tuesday, friday, at this point and I'm muchly looking forwards to it. First week I'm doing floor 1 (history, political sciences, teenage angst, childrens and childrens french.) Second week, I'm on cash. 's brilliant.
Wages are 7.90$ an hour (40 c better than minimum, which is better than I expected) and if I stay there for three months and do good work I get another 30c, then another three months on that gives me an extra 60c. Amazing, really, considering all I ever made at OSSD was 7.15
The store is close enough that as long as there's no snow on the ground, I won't have to do bus-fare either. Yay, biking!
Next year I'm only taking 5 credits (in a school that's designed to let you take a maximum of 9 a year) so I'm going to have oodles of spare time (although a chunk of that gets eaten up the MINUTE I audition for the play, as well as with my prefecting duties...)
Even if I can only hold down Chapters until February (which is when the shit hits the fan theatrically and school-wise) then I'm still groovy. Expectations are three or four five hour shifts a week. I'd ask for mine mondays, tuesdays, thursdays, and any time on the weekend.
