a) want to rescue Sands b) have his logic/control COMPLETELY FUCKED OVER by the sight of blood c) react by dragging Sands bodily into something very not good, likely. And possibly Santino too, before shooting him back to the bar. That way, Random would get the description he'd need to be able to pattern walk to wherever Sands is.
