Oh, yeah. This has totally turned into minivan-plot.

It will be less of the crack when Sands is actually in TROUBLE, I imagine.
But still.
So, we have everyone we want so far settled to jump in. I think the best way to do it would be to set out exactly the threads we want/need, and set them up locked for slowtime commencement as soon as possible (Write's working, I'm starting work, Alex's in Australia...)
Also, encourage offshoots. One blanket post of in-the-car threads, a few offshooting conversations to be tagged in whenever people can manage or feel like.
Also? As of now we should all start writing ficlets, amounting to getting out at the bathroom in a world with blue sand and yellow sky. Or a thoughtful description of eating in silence at a place that serves Kentucky Fried Lizard Partes. Get your character's presence/oppinion well established.

Oh, and I think someone needs to try and teach Mal how to drive.

Which means they'll need to hit up a motel or something somewhere along the line. If only for RANDOM to sleep.
How long do we want the trip to take?
no subject
(I now have a mental image of Random waking up, and coming out of the motel to find Mal and Santino looking extremely guilty, standing next to the minivan.
Which seems to be halfway through a wall.)

Except in that case, he'd look at them both, say 'screw it' and just fix the thing. Wall and minivan both. And then walk away, muttering profanities.
Dude, it so has to happen.
I vote four days until further notice?

I'm going away on the sixth, back on the...fifteenth, I think.

If we do it all in Dworkin's, we don't have to bother with filters, as it's not commonly friended, but that's up to people.
Then the actual fight can be real-time, and we can put up the car-ooms afterwards as we go along.

(And campfires. Marshmallows and s'mores and campfires.)

They are good.
First, you get a graham cracker. Then, you put some Hershey's chocolate on the graham cracker. Then, you toast a marshmallow and stick THAT on the cracker. Then you get another cracker and make a little sandwich.
Is heaven.

However, I may experiment with Galaxy.

The Fight
(Can this be on a monday) Dworkin, Sands and Santino travelling
Mal recruiting Ramon (hopefully in Random's presence, to minimize thread timing)
Mal recruiting Santino, at Random's behest
Sands OOM re: desert
Lawrence OOM re: finding Sands
Day 1
Day 2
Sands and Lawrence bitching
Day 3
Finding Sands
Ride Home
And all the mini threads we want to do of obstacles and so on should be rationed up between the days.

Dworkin's is open for group stuff, which saves time on filters, as no one reads his.

Dworkin's free for group stuff, as not commonly friended.
