Mwahahaha. I officially have a FULL SET of pups.
Behind the cut follows ramblings, musings and oddness of a slightly disturbing nature. Because there is Jack, Frost, Satan, Mercutio, Jack/Mercutio, Jack/Satan, Jack/Frost, Satan/Mercutio (BUT NOT REALLY) Random/Ramon, Dworkin/Unicorn and all sorts of other lovely things that I needed to write down and sort out in my head.
One bisexual who sort of counts as a homosexual because he's never ever going to sleep with anyone who isn't Ramon, not for any foreseeable future.
One pyrosexual incestuous pseudo-paedophile (depends how you look at it) with a predilection for Satan, and his split personality who's naive enough to not understand that there's a difference between same gender and opposite gender sex and someone REALLY needs to explain birth control to him. All the same, I don't think it'll ever really matter. He's not intensely sexual in nature. Funny story, there, he's attracted to women quite a bit more than he is to men.... but women tend to try to adopt him so it never works out. No. Jack'll have his fling with Satan, and then provided Kenovay's around in June and still up for it, he'll do the 'Kiss Mercutio On A Table Plan' which I will go into more depth about later.
One asexual with possible bestiality envolved. Dworkin? Sex-drive? Never use those words in the same sentence again please. Of course, he's supposed to have copulated with 'the Unicorn.' I, on the other hand, will leave well enough alone and hide under my bed.
One heterosexual who will not be becoming sexually active in the bar, like, EVER. Robinton's heart lies with Kaisa. Also, possible crush on Menolly (CANON CANON CANON CANON) that he will never be acting on because he's old enough to be her father.
One heterosexual with a love interest to build into. I'm seriously looking forwards to having Telemain meet his Morwen and settle into their... marriage, I suppose, he's too gallant to sleep with her without proposing. Also, he is from a children's novel. I think marriage will come before any sort of love life with him. *smooshes* That won't rush, though. The canon doesn't, and I can't brin him in till June anyways, so it'll take its own merry time.
One confused lesbian who just slept with a guy and liked it. Diana's belief that she likes girls is slowly slipping away, poor girl. But I hardly play her any more, I think I've lost her voice, which is very sad. Very very sad, because she rocks, in her own way.
NOW! Back to Jack's sexuality. Which is funny to type because I didn't think he'd really HAVE one, you know? All the same, I let him loose with Mercutio.... heh. That man could debauch a nun. Anyhow. I digress.
Jack's sexuality exists as a combination of what Frost wants it to be (submissive + OMG BLOOD FIXATION = fucking weird combination, say thankya.) In all honesty, he probably prefers women to men. However, he has no social knowledge about how, to put it crudely, to make the first move. Thus ends up confused. Thus ends up being adopted/cuddled. The two people he's ever been anywhere near sleeping with have both been men willing to take the initiative and steal a kiss.
That's not to say that he doesn't like men. He honestly can't/hasn't processed the difference between men and women in regards to sexual desire. They're 'humans' and 'not' as far as he's concerned, and he's decided he likes both. Part of it is, of course, Frost. Everything Jack does leads back to Frost, and through the nature of Frost's desire to own/command Jack and have him become his just utterly and completely, he has instilled (rather more subtly) that same desire to give over because Jack is what Frost wants him to be... and that's a big part of it.
That effects his relationship with Belial much more accutely than it does with Mercutio. Which is why, once he's gone to live by himself and be alone and grow up a little, it will be HIM who gets bent over a table while Belial won't be spared a second glance.
I'm not even going in to the thing with Mercutio becoming a prostitute. Except I am because it's bizarre and fascinates Jack in a not entirely innocent way. At the same time, he desperately hopes he doesn't because then he's absolutely sure he would never be able to see him again. May have to send him a desperate and tearful letter to that effect asking if he's allowed to pay in raisins to just talk to him, because he realizes there's not a lot to be done with raisins but if it is just talking then it might be alright. On top of that, there's the worry that Satan'll go to him. Which scares the HELL out of him and morbidly fascinates him in the same moment because it's the only two people he's ever felt lust for in his entire short life. In bed, together.be afraid. be very afraid.
The 'Kiss Mercutio On A Table Plan' (tm?) is going to be Jack's first action upon return to the bar. I imagine this is because it is a) a clear cut example of the fact that he DOES NOT HAVE TO LISTEN TO FROST nyah nyah, because Frost is still intensely threatened by Mercutio then b) to enjoy his new found confidence/understanding/sexuality and finally c) it's the single most overdue thing he's ever EVER done. Like, really.

Lytol had to reinvent himself three times in canon, so he has some experience with the feeling. Even so, it is weird. Pern characters lack a lot of referents and so it is very different playing in Milliways with them.

Date: 2006-03-25 05:54 pm (UTC)Asmodean is never good for a person's sanity. He chatted with him quite a bit. Arithon started trading music lessons with him- Robinton teaching him the harp, Arithon teaching Robinton the lyranthe in return. Yrael took it in his heart to HELP Robinton by turning his world view on its head and telling him the Red Star was actually a planet. Then I made the mistake of letting him see the aftermath of the torture plot.... hooooo boy. Unhappy harper.

Date: 2006-03-25 06:00 pm (UTC)yeah, I can see what you mean...
wow
well, I reckon either a plot to help him find his balance, or a reset and a younger Robinton, maybe? Some way of hlping you regain his voice and his footing to set him so he could interact with Milliways...
For me, I think, since I dont know Lytol's eventualy ffate, there will be much analogizing as Lytol attempts to figure out where he is and why he is there and what to do there.

Date: 2006-03-25 06:08 pm (UTC)He is resilient... Maybe once I have Lytol grounded they can talk. Who knows, once Lytol has built a system of referents he might be able to help... I dunno.
Either way, it will be interesting

Date: 2006-03-25 06:09 pm (UTC)So. One can only hope!
I need to get back into the swing of playing Diana, too. *sigh*

Date: 2006-03-25 06:15 pm (UTC)She just never really clicked for me. Maybe if I could get some plot for her.... she was also powerful enough magic-wise that I had to be REALLY careful while playing her.

Date: 2006-03-25 06:19 pm (UTC)yes, Magius had a few threads with her.
*nods* I have the same trouble with Magius. So much so that I have to adopt reasosn for him not doing things. He is slowly developing a 'non-interferance unless they ask' code ... which is weird, but... you do what you have to to try to keeop the character in character and still play them...
If you wanted we could do some sort of OOM plot, where they could cut loose more with powers. A quest type thing.
*handwaves*
I hope she clicks for you again. I did like her.

Date: 2006-03-25 06:22 pm (UTC)Also, difficult because her morals were hard to pin down. Young enough to sometimes not know better, old enough to know she should care. I have no trouble with immoral pups. Look at Frost, the semi-paedophile. Or Random, still happily shacked up with a Cartel Lord.
But Diana... she was slippery. Hard to get.

Date: 2006-03-25 06:27 pm (UTC)Sometimes it is hard to pin a person down... you can either go with shifting morals or with defining them yourself.
I had trouble with Hank McCoy like that when I first came in because of way too many characterizations to choose from in canon. It took me awhile to find one I could do comfortably and long term.

Date: 2006-03-25 06:36 pm (UTC)But he's also a pathelogical liar and courtier who gets thrills from having the world wrapped around his fingers as much as possible. Very hard to tell what's honest emotion and what's not.

Date: 2006-03-25 06:43 pm (UTC)Sometimes characters can seem very cool, and yet be so complicated. It is hard to center them at times, but fine.
